An established compounding pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory, compliance, and quality operations at its Ohio facility. The position is onsite Monday through Friday and is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with strong expertise in sterile compounding and regulatory oversight.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and non-resident state licenses as needed
Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
Maintain licensure for pharmacists and facility across multiple states
Lead and coordinate inspections from regulatory bodies including FDA, DEA, and Boards of Pharmacy
Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training programs
Oversee regulatory reporting, recalls, quality investigations, and complaint management
Manage quality assurance/control, including batch record review, deviations, environmental monitoring, and validation activities
Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
Qualifications and Experience: Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, preferably managing pharmacy or quality teams
Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP, FDA, DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
Demonstrated ability to lead FDA and DEA inspections and audits successfully
Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience holding multiple state licenses preferred
Additional Preferred Experience: 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries
7+ years in quality or compliance roles with increasing responsibility
Location: Albany, Ohio onsite Monday through Friday
