Position Summary
This position has responsibility for building long term relationships with commercial loan customers, business development, and other community activities. Responsible for commercial loan portfolio by meeting established lending requirements. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Make and service commercial loans
- Follows current loans and maintains customer relationships
- Presents loan requests to loan committee and Board
- Actively solicits new business prospects; make sales and/or new business calls
- Interview applicants to develop information regarding their business, lending needs, earnings and credit-worthiness
- Approves/rejects loans within lending authority
- Operates with moderate lending authority and independence
- Maintains communication with the professional community to identify new business prospects
- Participates in professional and civic organization activities to promote a high profile for the bank in community and business prospects

- Regularly sit for long periods of time, walk, bend over, stoop, and kneel.
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle objects, operate equipment such as 10-key pad, calculator, copier, PC keyboard and mouse.
- Occasionally use hands and arms to reach, lift, move, carry, pull, and push files/objects up to 20 pounds while sitting, standing, climbing or walking.
- Regularly use eyesight for close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

- Regularly speak clearly using the English language.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

- Bachelor's degree (B.A.)
- Five or more years of commercial loan and credit analyst experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the banking industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively compose original correspondence and verbally exchange information with customers and vendors.
- Ability to interpret the needs of customers and effectively resolve any problems to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Strong analytical and accounting skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts such as fractions percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out verbal and written instructions and deal with standardized and unique situations.
- Professional demeanor and interaction with all customers (internal and external) and a proactive team attitude.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, any other software, etc.).
