Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role involves providing skilled nursing care in a stepdown unit setting, focusing on patients who require a higher level of monitoring and care than a general medical-surgical floor but do not need intensive care. The position offers contract work with flexible hours ranging from 36 to 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams
- Assess patient conditions and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, detailed nursing documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current RN licensure in the state
- Experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work every other weekend and Easter holiday as required
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
Schedule:
