An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care during night shifts at a well-established medical center in Chimayo, NM. This contract role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing services in a medical-surgical setting. Responsibilities/Duties:
- Coordinate and implement nursing care based on patient age and condition within the assigned unit
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards in patient care delivery
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff, respecting patient rights
- Adapt to varied schedules and emergency situations as required
- Maintain professional relationships while working in a clean, well-lit, and smoke-free environment
- Perform physical duties including patient transfers and handling medical equipment safely
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge and skills appropriate for the patient population served
- Ability to manage emergency situations and maintain physical stamina required for nursing duties
Schedule:
- Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
