Multi-Trade Traveling Foreman
Job Description
Job Description
ATTENTION!
We are interviewing slowly to hire the right foreman for our commercial Montana project in September.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Traveling Foreman to oversee and coordinate construction projects for our greenhouse-building company. This role is hands-on, requiring both leadership and technical skills to ensure job sites run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem-solver, and team builder who can uphold our company culture and keep projects on schedule. This is a traveling position! Compensation for traveling will be provided, but you MUST have the flexibility to go out of state and live in an Airbnb for long periods of time, ranging 1 week to 1 month. You will benefit greatly from having experience with framing steel structures.
Company Culture & Expectations
At Monarch Greenhouse Solutions, we build more than just greenhouses—we build a positive, professional, and hardworking team. We are looking for reliable, respectful, and motivated individuals who take pride in their work and in the crew they work with.

Toxic attitudes – We work as a team. If you bring others down, this isn’t the place for you.
-
Substance abuse on the job – Safety is our top priority.
-
Dishonesty or unreliability – We need people who show up and follow through.
Background check required. We hire individuals who align with our company’s values of integrity, respect, and accountability.

Supervise Crew: Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of skilled laborers to ensure high-quality construction.

-
Quality Control: Ensure work is completed to company standards and troubleshoot any construction issues.
-
Material Management: Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure materials are delivered and used efficiently.
-
Training & Development: Help train new hires and improve team skills to create a strong, positive work environment.
-
Client & Vendor Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers, inspectors, and suppliers to keep projects moving.
Qualifications:
-
Experience: Minimum 5 years in construction, preferably in greenhouse, steel frame, or commercial structure building. Home builders may find strengths here.
-
Leadership Skills: Previous experience as a lead carpenter, foreman, or site supervisor is preferred.
-
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in reading blueprints, using construction tools, and understanding framing, roofing, and installation techniques.
-
Strong Work Ethic: Self-motivated, responsible, and committed to high-quality work.
-
Communication Skills: Able to give clear instructions, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive relationships with the crew.
-
Problem-Solving Ability: Able to adapt and make quick, effective decisions on-site.
-
Valid Driver’s License: Must have a reliable way to get to and from job sites as well as haul heavy equipment in company trucks. If our insurance declines you for driving our trucks, you will be let go.
-
Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50+ lbs, work in outdoor conditions, and perform hands-on labor as needed.
-
Flexibility to Travel: Must be able to live out of state for up to three weeks at a time on occasional projects out-of-state.
