Job DescriptionLHH is working with a leading nonprofit organization located in NYC to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Purchasing Specialist. This temp-to-perm opportunity requires strong Excel skills and experience supporting both AP and purchasing functions in a fast-paced, fully in-office environment.

Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle accounts payable, including matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices
- Handle weekly payments including checks, ACH, and wires
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist with month-end close, including preparing AP accruals and maintaining the AP aging
- Maintain vendor files, W-9 documentation, and support audit requests
- Create and track purchase orders; ensure proper approvals are obtained
- Communicate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely order processing
- Source vendors, obtain quotes, and compare pricing when needed
- Follow up on order status, shipments, and delivery timing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable and/or Purchasing experience
- Strong Excel skills required (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Unit4, or Great Plains
- Strong communication, accuracy, and organizational skills
$23-35/hr
Pay Details: $23.00 to $35.00 per hour
