An opportunity is available for a skilled ICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care nursing within a dynamic hospital setting in Longmont, Colorado. This contract position involves working in a well-equipped ICU unit that recently expanded its capacity and offers a team-oriented environment with experienced staff and supportive intensivists.

This role is based in the Longmont area, a vibrant city surrounded by beautiful mountain views and a thriving community. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, including those with neurosurgical, trauma, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and withdrawal symptoms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment such as GE bedside monitors, Plum Pump IVs, and Pyxis systems
- Maintain accurate medical records within Meditech EMR
- Adhere to unit policies and maintain patient safety standards
- Support a staff culture of positivity, flexibility, and patient-centered care
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid RN licensure with current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience working in an ICU setting (medical/surgical, neurological, or trauma environments)
- Preferred: TNCC certification and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience
- Ability to manage varying patient ratios, typically 1:2, adapting to acuity needs
- Strong team collaboration skills and willingness to support unit flexibility

- Schedule: 6 PM to 6 AM shift
- The ICU unit has 28 beds across two pods and employs a diverse nursing team with a wealth of experience, including staff with 20+ years tenure
- The facility is preparing for a Level II trauma certification and offers around-the-clock intensivist support known for teaching and respect
