Job Description

Remodeling Consultant - Project Manager

Chicago, IL | Full-Time | Career Opportunity

Build the extraordinary. Lead with purpose.

Are you a detail-driven construction professional who thrives on seeing stunning residential and specialty commercial projects come to life? This is your opportunity to step into a leadership role with a well-established, 40-year strong construction firm known for excellence in luxury remodeling, renovation, and restoration throughout Chicago.

We’re looking for a Construction Project Manager who brings craftsmanship, communication, and coordination together into one seamless project experience—for our clients and our team.

Why This Role Stands Out:

Reputation + Growth – Join a firm respected for integrity and quality, and poised for the next era of smart growth.

Luxury-Level Craftsmanship – You’ll manage high-end projects with an eye for detail and precision.

Collaborative Culture – Work with a supportive, talented internal team, trusted trade partners, and grateful clients who value your leadership.

What You’ll Do:

As Project Manager, you’ll be the critical link between design vision and build reality. You'll lead the construction process from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring every detail reflects our high standards.

  • Own the construction process from project hand-off through punch list and final walk-through.
  • Review plans, contracts, specs, and budgets; build accurate construction schedules.
  • Lead field operations—managing subcontractors, jobsite progress, safety, and quality.
  • Communicate proactively with clients to build trust, clarify expectations, and resolve issues.
  • Monitor materials and procurement timelines to keep projects moving and on budget.
  • Handle change orders, RFIs, submittals, and documentation with accuracy and care.
  • Support weekly production meetings, mentor field staff, and maintain alignment across stakeholders.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in residential remodeling or design-build construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, project workflows, codes, and sequencing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and ability to read CAD drawings.
  • A proven track record of building positive client relationships and high-performance teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits and vendor coordination.

Bonus points for LEED AP or sustainable construction experience.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Health insurance benefits
  • Paid holidays and vacation time
  • Culture of respect, craftsmanship, and integrity
  • Opportunities for growth within a thriving firm
  • The satisfaction of seeing your work stand the test of time
