Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with the check-in process using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information and medical history.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support accurate clinical assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring their comfort.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including specimen collection, medication administration, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) procedures.
- Manage medical documentation including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to facilitate billing and record accuracy.
- Conduct patient intake interviews to gather medical histories and current symptoms efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety standards
- Draw blood for laboratory tests
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong foundation in medical assisting within diverse clinical environments if possible . Prior experience is highly valued or willing to learn.
