Job Summary
We are a premium, fast-growing service company specializing in move-in and move-out solutions. Our mission is to help residents settle into their homes quickly and seamlessly with high-quality, white-glove handyman services.
We are seeking skilled and reliable Contract Handymen to complete a variety of residential service jobs across the Chicagoland area. This role involves traveling to customer homes to perform maintenance, installations, and light repair work.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, ideal for professionals who are experienced, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
Duties
- Perform general handyman and property maintenance
- Assemble furniture (beds, desks, shelving, etc.)
- Mount TVs, artwork, mirrors, and fixtures
- Install drapes, blinds, and curtain rods
- Install under-sink water filtration systems
- Complete minor electrical work (light fixtures, switches, outlets)
- Perform minor plumbing repairs (faucets, leaks, basic installs)
- Conduct minor painting and touch-ups
- Perform light appliance repairs and installations
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment
- Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service
Requirements
- Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician
- Must have your own tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to handle a wide range of basic home repair tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
- Valid driver’s license required
