Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel) in Bakersfield, CA. Start date: 07/13/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: Nights (12-hour), 3x12. Weekly pay: $1,854–$1,972. Guaranteed hours: 0 per week. Setting: emergency department in an acute care environment. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the ER according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, monitor responses, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across multiple levels; coordinate care with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders; monitor for side effects and document outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record; ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals to appropriate services.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or valid multi-state license as applicable)
- BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred
- ER nursing experience preferred (1 year typical, or equivalent demonstrated competency)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department environment and manage emergencies
- Willingness to work nights on a 12-hour shift schedule
