Full Time CAD Detailer/Drafter (Bountiful, Utah or St. George, Utah)
Salary $48,000.00+ based on experience
Who Thrives in This Role:
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys detailed drafting work and takes pride in producing clean, precise, and accurate drawings. Detailer / drafter will prepare construction and fabrication drawings for industrial steel plate structures such as tanks, pressure vessels, and structural steel, including detailed welding information. Detailer/drafter will produce structural drawings from architectural drawings and engineering design on commercial projects and on high end, complicated residential projects.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Must be proficient with structural drafting and detailing in AutoCAD 2D.
- Must be proficient in Revit for structural design.
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organized and committed to producing accurate work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the primary business language, English.
- Ability to follow directions and check your work carefully.
- Ability to work well with others and communicate professionally with clients and coworkers.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Comprehension and ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, etc.
Day to Day / What You’ll Do
- Setup drawings for each assigned project.
- Review structural and architectural drawings and specifications for any conflicts, errors, or inconsistencies.
- Generate and revise details and detailed construction drawings from hand drawn sketches, construction drawings, and client / designer specifications.
- Maintain well-organized drawing files, folders, and layouts so projects are easy to navigate and update.
- Become proficient and maintain client and company -specific drafting standards, ensuring consistency in formats, layers, fonts, and plotting across all deliverables.
Preferred (Not Required)
· Prior experience with industrial related drafting
