THE BASICS

Pay: You earn a base salary of $28,000 - $30,000/year and can make more through commission!

YOUR DAY AS A FIELD EQUIPMENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE

In this role, you connect with current and prospective clients, understand their agriculture needs, and recommend the best solutions to help them succeed. You're the go-to resource for customers with questions about our equipment or services, and you keep up with the latest in John Deere products, industry trends, competitive brands, and agricultural techniques.

You demonstrate to clients why they should do business with us, adjusting your strategies to fit the individual. From conducting field demonstrations to developing sales plans, you play a crucial role in our continued growth. You also oversee the delivery, set-up, and start-up of purchased equipment and teach operators how to properly use it.


REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal Field Equipment Sales Representative has 3+ years of account management or equipment sales experience. A bachelor's degree in a business or agriculture-related field would be a plus.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with computers and online tools
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds as well as safely operate, hook up, secure, and transport equipment
