Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This is a full-time position (Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours weekly) with scheduled hours from 7:15am to 3:15pm. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, and serves a dedicated group of 12 students.

What You'll Need:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (appropriate state credentials required)
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Knowledge of instructional strategies for mild to moderate disabilities
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Organized, adaptable, and committed to fostering positive student outcomes

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
• Create a safe, supportive learning atmosphere
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, general education staff, and school specialists
• Frequently assess and document student progress
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and team planning
• Communicate with families regarding student successes and needs
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with district and state requirements
