A full-time Pharmacist role is available on a contract-to-hire basis in the Long Beach, CA area, with a focus on clinical expertise and long-term career growth. Location: Long Beach, CA
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am 6:00 pm; rotating every third Saturday, 9:00 am 1:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense approximately 250 prescriptions daily with accuracy, safety, and compliance
  • Perform comprehensive clinical medication reviews to assess appropriateness, interactions, dosing, and therapeutic outcomes
  • Provide extensive patient counseling, with an emphasis on diabetes management including insulin use, injectables, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), oral agents, and lifestyle guidance
  • Conduct clinical assessments and monitor chronic disease states, especially among diabetic patients
  • Collaborate with prescribers to clarify orders and recommend therapy adjustments that optimize patient outcomes
  • Identify and resolve medication-related problems and barriers to adherence
  • Oversee pharmacy workflow ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient operations
  • Foster a patient-centered environment focused on long-term health outcomes and quality care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • B.S. or PharmD from an accredited Pharmacy School
  • Active and clear California Pharmacist License
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred
  • Experience in diabetic clinical assessment highly desirable
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, clinical knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills
