Our focus includes windows, doors, cabinets, siding, and garage doors and hardware. The Lensing Home Showroom is conveniently located on Evansville's east side on Lincoln Avenue. We are Evansville's premier retail showroom for local homeowners and home builders to access quality building materials and design services.

The Residential Overhead Door Technician will work as part of our team installing and servicing all types of residential overhead door mechanics and systems. Product specific training will be provided to teach new technicians specific techniques and procedures related to our product lines.

An ideal candidate must be able to work in all types of work environments and weather conditions. We are in search of candidates that are willing to work 40 + hours a week to serve our growing customer base. You must have a positive attitude and represent the company while at customer job sites. You will be required to work overtime, occasional weekends, and at different job sites. As the primary point of contact for the company to the customer, punctuality, reliability, and a professional attitude is a must.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in the following:

  • Mechanical and electrical components
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams
  • Analytical and trouble-shooting skills of mechanical and electrical components
  • Use of scissor lifts, high lifts, fork trucks, and/or any other type of heavy equipment
  • Job site organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ensuring job site safety (both to company policy and customer requirements)
  • Ability to complete product specific trainings, sometimes out of town
  • Serve on emergency on-call rotation
  • Loading and unloading of job site materials out of truck and trailers. Items can be large/bulky and will require navigation on truck/trailer to utilize hoists and slings when possible, to assist with lifting material.

Will be trained to operate forklifts, telehandler/lulls, and other various pieces of heavy equipment as needed per job.


Driving Requirements:

Must be insurable by company's insurance program to utilize company vehicles.

Valid driver's license with strong driving record.

Have the ability to obtain "For Hire" driving endorsement within 60 days of hire.

May require DOT drug screen and physical, and ability to renew per DOT standards.
