Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
\n• Float required - may float to nearby sister facilities as needed (rarely occurs)
\n• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
\n• 53-room emergency department with daily census of 150
\n• 48 hours of orientation provided
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
\n• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience mandatory
\n• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
\n• Skills include care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV starts and maintenance, and triage
\n• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
\n• Indiana residents not accepted for ER positions
\n• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
\n• University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
\n• Two supervisor references required
