Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Med-Surg

Location: Panama City, FL Area
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (238-bed) / Regional Cardiac Center
Schedule: Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends
Pay Rate: $29.92 – $44.88/Hour (Midpoint: $39.21 for 10 YOE)
Night Shift Differential: +$4.00/Hour
Bonuses: Sign-on & relocation (case-by-case, not guaranteed)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and clinically strong Cardiac Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing night shift team. This role involves delivering comprehensive bedside care to adult patients recovering from cardiac events and complex medical conditions in a structured, high-acuity environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and throughout the shift.

• Monitor cardiac and neurological status and report clinical changes promptly.

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by providers.

• Observe and evaluate patient responses to therapies and interventions.

• Provide bedside care focused on safety, comfort, and patient advocacy.

• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and discharge care.

• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.

• Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).

• Active RN license in Florida or Compact RN license (Florida required within 60 days if relocating).

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Prior acute care RN experience required.

• Recent acute care experience within the last 3 years preferred (or 5 years with strong experience history).

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in fast-paced hospital environments.

• Ability to manage 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio on night shifts.
