Director of Nursing

As the Director of Nursing , you are responsible to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

• Leads daily operations for the nursing department.
• Sets and tracks departmental goals and objectives.
• Develops and implements nursing policies and procedures.
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates nursing staff.
• Hires and onboards new nurses.
• Sets the nursing schedule.
• Provides direct patient care when necessary.
• Investigates patient complaints.
• Collaborates with doctors and executives.
• Oversees the department’s budget.
• Designs and manages continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
• Ensures that all guidelines, regulations, and standards are followed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN)
• Must have at least 1 year of Supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or clinic
• CPR and first aid certification
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
