DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in the Fire, EMS and industrial safety equipment distribution business, is looking for an Inventory Supervisor with a “whatever it takes” attitude. The main focus of this position is to monitor and maintain the proper inventory accuracy while working directly with the warehouse staff while maintaining a safe, credible and positive working environment reporting to the Assistant Warehouse Manager out of Buffalo, NY.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Focus on safety at all times – providing a safe working environment for all employees by enforcing related training and policies for equipment, vehicles and chemicals and monitoring unsafe conditions providing documentation, disciplinary action (if necessary) and continual training
  • Responsible for warehouse 01 inventory discrepancy bin for orders with issues, the discrepancy shelf, and the overpull bin
  • Assist in running quarterly reports for all warehouses
  • Work hand in hand with Inventory Supervisor to assist with inventory issues, and cycle counts
  • Run daily inventory reports
  • Travel as needed for physical inventory for other locations.
  • Report any existing or potential safety concerns to management
  • Maintain constant communication with the Inventory Supervisor to ensure workload awareness as well as with other DiVal personnel (Sales, Customer Care and Managers) to maximize shipments and deliveries
  • Assist with the investigation of any issues that question warehouse credibility addressing all concerns with the highest sense of urgency
  • Perform additional warehouse duties that may arise and assigned by the Management, including picking, shipping, receiving.
  • Willingly participate in further training and certifications as required to meet the future needs of this position

Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
  • Possess advanced computer experience, AS400 background preferred
  • Palm pilot / RF training a plus along with formal warehouse equipment training including but not limited to: tow motor, order picker, reach truck and scissors lift
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent
