Status: Part-time, Average of 10 hours per week and up to 15 hours per week

Role Summary:

The Discipleship Coordinator supports Calvary Church’s mission by coming alongside the Discipleship and Care Pastor to coordinate logistics, track metrics, and assist administratively for all discipleship programming. This role is central to the successful coordination of small groups, men's and women's programming, and retreats, ensuring thoughtful, well-planned experiences that lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.


Working closely with the Discipleship and Care Pastor, this position contributes ideas, manages administrative and logistical workflows, and helps bring the shared vision for spiritual growth to life with consistency and excellence. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about supporting ministry, someone who values collaboration, understands the "why" behind the church's discipleship efforts, and enjoys turning vision into meaningful engagement.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate, implement, and manage the logistical execution of the church's discipleship strategy in alignment with the leadership vision under the direction of the Discipleship and Care Pastor.

  • Coordinate all logistics for small groups, including leader support, resource distribution, and registration.

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of all discipleship retreats and special events.

  • Coordinate and support logistics for men's and women's ministry programming.

  • Track key metrics and attendance data for all discipleship programming (small groups, retreats, events) and collaborate on reports to review performance and content improvements.

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Discipleship and Care Pastor, including scheduling, communication, and document organization.

  • Contribute ideas that improve tools, processes, and team workflows related to discipleship and care.

  • Ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across all discipleship-related communications.

Personal Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a growth mindset continuously seeking ways to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus which includes evaluating your ministry or support area against department goals and personal performance.

  • Live in such a way that your witness, example, service to others, and worship does not become a stumbling block. (I Timothy 3:2 and Acts 15:19).

  • Work towards a tithe (10%) to Jesus and the mission of Calvary.


Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in ministry coordination, program management, or high-level administrative support, preferably within a church or non-profit setting.

  • Proficiency with administrative and data management tools (e.g., Google Workspace, spreadsheets, database systems).

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to follow ministry vision while contributing creative and practical solutions.

  • Ability to think objectively and strategically about programming to drive engagement and spiritual growth.

  • Teachable, humble, mission minded.
