Location:

Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home – 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC

Schedule:

  • Full-time Weekend Baylor Days - 36 hours per week, 7:00am - 7:00pm Friday, Saturday & Sunday

***Plus, Weekend Shift Differential Pay and additional Baylor pay***

Trellis Supportive Care is North Carolina’s first free-standing not-for-profit hospice organization, serving patients and families in a Piedmont/Triad since 1979. Founded by a group of compassionate visionaries and community leaders, Trellis Supportive Care has remained a pace-setter in the region, state, and in the nation. Trellis Supportive Care has expanded over the decades to meet the regional needs of our patients. Our service area encompasses thirteen counties in the Piedmont/Triad and we operate from four offices plus the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. We have made it our mission to provide compassionate care for individuals living with a life-limiting illness and their families, through quality medical, emotional, spiritual, and social support wherever care is needed. Our staff has grown from a dozen individuals to over 350 specially trained professionals who work as a team to help patients live fully and comfortably, with hope — even during life’s most challenging time.

Position Education/Skills/Abilities:

· Current NC license as a Registered Nurse and current American Heart Association CPR certification

· A minimum of one (1) year clinical experience strongly preferred

· Excellent nursing assessment and problem-solving skills

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written

· Exceptional customer service required

· Sensitive to the needs of terminally ill patients and families and one’s own feelings about death and dying.

· Able to cope with emotional stress and be tolerant of individual lifestyles

· Computer proficiency with electronic medical records
