Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in North Tonawanda, NY, serving students in grades K-5 at a single school site within a well-regarded district. This role offers an engaging opportunity to provide therapy services three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, beginning in early February and continuing through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech-language pathology services to students ages K-5 within an itinerant caseload framework.
  • Utilize district-approved IEP systems and participate in training as provided.
  • Document and track student progress while ensuring compliance with all applicable therapy standards.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and colleagues through paid team meetings and indirect administrative time.
  • Support and supervise activities per district guidelines, if applicable.
  • Provide therapy in designated spaces with resources available to facilitate effective sessions.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid New York SLP License.
  • Experience working in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology settings.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy and effective virtual communication techniques.
  • Comfort providing services under case load and workload models for school-aged children.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and district training.

Additional Details:

  • This contract assignment includes paid travel time for itinerant service delivery.
  • Interviews will be conducted via Zoom on an individual basis, with hiring decisions made quickly within 24-48 hours.
  • Fingerprinting and credential verifications are required prior to start.
  • Direct supervisor and primary contact for onboarding and support is the district lead.
