Schedule: 8 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday FULL TIME
Logistics Coordinator Previous Experience Required:
- 2+ years of logistics experience.
- 1+ years of EDI experience
- 2+ years of clerical experience within a warehouse setting.
Job description and day-to-day tasks:
- This position involves overseeing the movement of goods, coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments, as well as addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic/international shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Work closely with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse teams to schedule pickups, deliveries, and shipments
- Monitor transportation costs and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize efficiency and minimize expenses
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and logistics activities
- Identify and resolve logistical issues or delays to minimize disruptions in supply chain operations
- Verify freight bills with booked rate confirmations or email confirmations.
- Verify final delivery of load with POD, this is necessary to avoid claims, shortages, or delays in payment from the customer.
- Implement and maintain efficient logistics processes to improve overall productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Have a sense of urgency while booking loose freight, LTL, and FTL shipments.
- Back up in sales if needed (taking orders over the phone, helping in the showroom)
- Have experience and the ability to negotiate best available shipping rates
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate information regarding order status, shipping updates, and product availability.
- Address customer concerns and complaints promptly, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to resolving issues to the customer's satisfaction
- Process orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to anticipate customer needs and provide proactive support and solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and personalized service
- Continuously strive to enhance the customer experience by identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
