Mary's Woods is looking for an energetic, alert, compassionate and team oriented Clinic Nurse who enjoys working collaboratively to provide excellent care to older adults while coordinating service for our independent living residents.
Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience and skills needed to be successful:
- Will adhere to facility uniform policy as stated in the employee handbook and as specified by the department Director/Manager.
- Ensures objectives and standards of Clinic are followed.
- Ensures all services provided to independent residents are under the direction of a physician as necessary.
- Communicates information regarding Clinic operations to the Resident Services Manager as needed.
- Develops and implements Quality Assurance activities for the Clinic operations and systems as requested.
- Assess and coordinate provision of necessary medical & nursing services for independent residents.
- Communicates information to resident, significant other, or responsible party as necessary.
- Communicates effectively with physician, pharmacy, and any other independent contracted service provider to ensure quality nursing services to the resident.
- Participates in Health Maintenance Committee when requested.
- Obtains information necessary for the resident Vial of Life data and updates this information annually and as
- Responds to independent resident emergency and non-emergency apartment calls in a timely manner.
- Using excellent communication skills and professional best practices, relays and explains physician’s orders
- regarding medical information to enable residents to make informed decisions.
- Supports and follows all safety and infection control practices.
- Recommends equipment and supply needs to department Supervisor.
- Appropriately reports and documents resident’s status and/or significant changes both oral & written when
Education and Experience Required:
- Education equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
- An LPN with an unencumbered license in the state of Oregon.
- Minimum one year of experience in Home Services or similar environment preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
The starting wage depends on experience, certification and education.
- LPN: Starting at $36.00 per hour
- RN: Starting at $42.00 per hour
Schedule: This is a full time position requiring a flexible schedule with the ability to work at least one weekend day.
