Integrated Communications is a small company that specializes in selling and supporting VOIP Phones Systems. We mainly sell 3-4 platforms along with our own White Label VOIP platform. We design the system with the client, install, train and have ongoing support. We have a great strong base of clients and keeps growing and need to have someone dedicated to this position that has been handled mostly by Sales rep.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Product Sales Engineer to be the crucial link between our sales and account management people and directly with our clients, focusing specifically on our White Label System, Zoom, Dialpad, Ring Central and now our new platform Upon AI. This role will involve acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients, designing customized solutions, and driving the sales cycle forward through expert technical guidance and engaging presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise & Support: Act as the primary technical contact for clients and the internal sales team, providing in-depth knowledge of our phone systems.
- Solution Design: Assess customer needs and design tailored telecommunications solutions, including network architecture and system specifications.
- Presentations & Demonstrations: Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex features into clear business benefits.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and account managers to ensure alignment, gather customer feedback for product improvements, and address technical objections during the sales process.
- Proposal & Documentation: Develop solution proposals, technical drawings, network diagrams, and responses to RFPs/RFQs with accurate technical content.
- Market Knowledge: Stay current with the latest telecommunications and information technology trends, products, and services to offer competitive solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Assist with initial technical integrations and provide after-sales troubleshooting support when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Proven experience in a technical sales, pre-sales support, or similar engineering/sales role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applications (Visio and Excel are a plus).
Preferred:
- Strong understanding of phone systems, networking concepts (LANs, WANs, VoIP, fiber optics, wireless networks), and related technologies.
- Experience with on-premise and hosted/cloud voice solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
