Job Details:
\n
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Work with patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
\n• 14-room emergency department with daily census of 112
\n• Required to work minimum every other weekend, occasionally back-to-back weekend coverage
\n• No guaranteed block or grouped shifts
\n• 52 hours of orientation required
\n• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross)
\n• Epic charting system experience preferred
\n• Community hospital experience required
\n• Previous charge experience preferred
\n• LTAC experience preferred
\n• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
\n• Skills include management of arterial lines, central line care, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, trauma care, and various emergency conditions
\n• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
\n• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
\n• Two references obtained within the last year required
\n• 50-mile travel requirement from facility

This community hospital operates a busy 14-room emergency department that serves patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics. The facility maintains a daily census of 112 and provides comprehensive emergency services with full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services. The hospital utilizes Epic charting system and offers extensive orientation and training programs for new staff members.
