Recodeal Energy Inc. specializes in manufacturing ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) tubes. The company operates as a subsidiary of Recodeal Interconnect System (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., a Chinese firm recognized as a national high-tech enterprise.
The ERW Forming Line Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the Electric Resistance Welding forming line used in the production of steel pipes. The role involves ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of the forming, welding, and sizing processes to meet production targets, quality specifications, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, align, and operate the ERW forming line, including roll forming stands, high-frequency welder, scarfing units, sizing mill, and flying cutoff saw.
Monitor and adjust welding parameters (e.g., HF power, weld pressure, and line speed) to ensure optimal weld quality.
Ensure proper alignment of forming and sizing rolls to maintain pipe dimensions and roundness.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of pipes, including weld seam integrity, wall thickness, and outside diameter.
Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components (e.g., motors, drives, gearboxes, HF welder).
Assist in roll/tooling changes and line calibration during size changeovers.
Document production data, quality control checks, and maintenance activities in logs or digital systems.
Follow safety procedures and actively participate in daily toolbox talks and safety audits.
Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly and minimize production downtime.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or technical vocational training required; mechanical or electrical trade certification preferred.
24 years of hands-on experience working on an ERW line in a steel pipe manufacturing facility.
Experience with high-frequency (HF) welding and roll forming processes is essential.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, roll schedules, and process sheets.
Skilled in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, ultrasonic testers, and laser OD gauges.
Understanding of pipe manufacturing standards such as ASTM, API, or EN (preferred but not required).
Soft Skills:
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Working Conditions:
Industrial manufacturing environment exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.
Requires standing, walking, and physical labor for extended periods.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection is mandatory.
