Provide specialized nursing care in pediatric behavioral health and medical-surgical settings at a well-established healthcare facility in Lees Summit, MO. This contract position offers the opportunity to utilize your psychiatric and med-surg nursing skills while supporting young patients in a dynamic environment. Night shifts consist of three 12-hour rotations per week, fostering a focused schedule for work-life balance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license in Missouri
- Minimum of 1 year travel nursing experience
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Proven expertise in behavioral/psychiatric nursing and medical-surgical care
- Required certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience managing patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 in inpatient settings
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients with behavioral health and medical-surgical needs
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and implement care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to established safety and compliance protocols
- Provide support, education, and reassurance to patients and families
