Overview
As a Manufacturing Quality Assurance & Quality Control Technician, you will support the inspection and verification of custom-manufactured springs and wire forms to ensure they meet customer specifications, internal standards, and ISO 9001:2015 requirements. This role involves dimensional and mechanical inspection, documentation, and collaboration with production and quality leadership.
Both entry-level and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Structured on-the-job training will be provided in inspection methods, measurement tools, blueprint interpretation, and quality system processes.
Duties
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of custom springs and wire forms
- Measure parts using manual and electronic inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and load/force testing devices
- Compare inspection results to blueprints, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements
- Read and interpret technical drawings, part prints, and dimensional tolerances
- Use basic geometric principles to verify inferred dimensions and functional requirements
- Program and operate automated or programmable inspection and test equipment as required
- Complete inspection reports, SPC documentation, certifications, and quality records
- Communicate inspection results clearly with production supervisors and quality leadership
- Identify non-conforming product and assist with documentation and disposition processes
- Maintain accurate digital records using spreadsheets, databases, and quality software tools
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection methods and data accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area in compliance with safety standards
Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Basic computer skills for data entry, spreadsheets, and documentation
- Ability to follow written procedures and technical instructions
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Previous manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience is helpful but not required
Hiring Process
All new hires are processed through a temp agency during their first 500 work hours. A drug test and background check are required as part of this process. This arrangement does not affect take-home pay—Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc. covers all fees. After completing the 500-hour period, employees may be evaluated for full-time hire based on performance, attendance, quality, and fit within the Coiling Department.
