Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A special education teaching opportunity is available for qualified educators at K-12 schools in Cheraw, SC, with contracts running through the school year (CSY). These roles focus on PreK and high school special education, offering a range of responsibilities within self-contained and resource classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support for PreK students aged 3-4 years in a self-contained classroom.
• Manage a caseload of PreK students, ensuring individualized educational plans are implemented effectively.
• Serve as a high school resource special education teacher, supporting 22-25 students.
• Potentially take on a high school self-contained classroom position with approximately 10 students.
• Meet physical requirements such as lifting and other demands associated with classroom settings.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure compliance with educational standards and student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active South Carolina teaching license or certification.
• Required endorsements: Multi-Categorical and Early Childhood.
• Experience working with special education students in PreK through high school settings.
• Ability to manage classroom needs for students with various disabilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Location:

• Cheraw, SC (PreK and High School sites onsite; this position is strictly onsite with no virtual option).

Schedule:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
• Contract duration varies by grade level: PreK services from January 7, 2025, to June 2, 2026, and high school services through the same period.
