Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in South San Francisco, CA is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels. This is a unique opportunity to provide impactful educational services within a public school setting for the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 13th.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time roles available in Early Childhood Special Education (1 opening)
- Elementary School: 2 positions supporting Extensive Support Needs (M/S), 1 position for Mild/Moderate (First Semester)
- Middle School: 4 Mild/Moderate openings
- High School: 3 Mild/Moderate and 1 Extensive Support Needs (M/S) openings
- Caseload assignments centered on individual school sites
- Direct hire opportunities with ongoing contract through 2027
- Interviews conducted onsite or virtually based on candidate preference and site principal requests
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist credential with PPS endorsement required (mandatory for interview consideration)
- Experience with a range of mild/moderate and extensive support needs student populations preferred
- Ability to implement specialized instructional strategies tailored to diverse learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within school teams and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction for students with disabilities in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Participate in team meetings, assessments, and professional development opportunities
- Foster inclusive classroom environments that support social, emotional, and academic growth
