Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a compact or ME license and at least 1 year of specialty experience, working overnight 12-hour shifts.
Details
- Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- EMR: Cerner
- Pyxis medication dispensing system in use
- Med/Surg and telemetry patient population; specific diagnoses and ratios discussed during interview
- Floating policy discussed during interview
Requirements
- Active RN license — compact or Maine (ME) license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Full SSN required for consideration
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
- 2 professional references within the past year required; at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge Nurse — peer references not accepted
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Permanent address must be 100+ miles south or southwest of the facility to be eligible
- Must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
Additional Information
- Orientation consists of 1–2 shifts
- All RTO requests require manager approval
- Any scrub color is acceptable
- Free parking available on site
- Flu vaccination is required prior to start; medical exemptions only are accepted and must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance for committee review
- First-time traveler eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis through the interview process
- Manager interviews are required for this position
