Key Performance Indicators to Measure Performance:
· Displays internally and externally assertive professional work behavior that aligns with “I Am H.A.R.P.” Honest. Accountable. Respectful. Profitable *
· Know the project’s specifics (i.e., where work will be taking place and is taking place) from reviewed drawings, specifications, and contracts. *
· Review staged material (if possible and practical) 3 (three) weeks before the start date. *
· Sites verify project conditions as much in advance as possible, reporting findings to the Project Manager in writing, with supporting data, pictures, videos, notes, etc. *
· Knowledge of project budget, duration, and requirements before the start of the project. (The more advanced notice is practical.) adhering to the stated objectives above. *
· Must pay particular attention to moisture slab levels, flatness, location of cold joints, and quantity of them (report any discrepancies) compared to shop drawings; mark all visible cracks and flatness variances on available drawings. Please provide them with the contractor’s project superintendent and in-house project management team as soon as possible, along with supporting documentation. *
· If out-of-scope work is required, prior notification must be sent to the contractor’s superintendent and in-house project management team with supporting documentation and a quick description of why and where/when this work will occur and the potential impact on the project. *
· Once out-of-scope work starts, daily Work Order Tickets must be signed Daily by an authorized person from the customer’s project team. *
· Look for potential optimization of work on cost savings or money-making opportunities. *
· Make weekly and daily expectations for the installation group and keep them on track. *
· Build lasting relationships with on-site customers’ project teams. *
· Collaborate with other trades involved in the project.
· Make sure daily toolbox meetings occur, and all attendees sign their names on the attendance sheet and electronically file daily safety reports in the project file. *
· Oversee all aspects of terrazzo installation projects. *
· Ensure that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. *
· Order materials and equipment needed for each project promptly. *
· Conduct pre-job planning and site visits to ensure compliance with project safety requirements. *
· Maintain accurate project documentation. *
· Fill in the DAILY project workbook in Builder Trend with detailed notes and pictures. *
· Verify inventory in advance to minimize last-minute requests and help reduce project cost impact. *
· Provide equipment and installation process optimization ideas to the in-house mechanical-electrical-computer/management team. *
· Take care of the on-site equipment and ensure that people using it know how to perform the daily/weekly maintenance (verify that such maintenance is completed). *
· The effectiveness in safeguarding information in reports, written materials, or other confidential material/information/conversations. *
· Follows applicable safety, health, and environmental rules and guidelines. Use appropriate protective equipment. *
· Perform other work-related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills):
· High School Diploma or equivalent. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in business, engineering, or construction management is preferred.
· Or five years of progressive construction management experience.
· Proven leadership skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
· Ability to read and interpret project specifications and plans.
· Proficiency in project management software and tools like Builder Trend, Microsoft Teams, etc.
· Solid understanding of construction processes, building codes, Construction safety practices, and industry standards preferred.
· A detail-oriented mindset focusing on accuracy and quality in project execution.
· OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR/AED, or the ability to obtain.
· Ability to travel to job sites and work flexible hours as required.
· Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle, & proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage.
Physical / Mental Demands:
This position requires handling stress, especially when dealing with employee and customer issues. It requires handling detailed, complex concepts and problems, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting required deadlines, and making rapid decisions.
Med - Heavy work – Lifting fifty pounds maximum, incorporating sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching, bending, fingering, seeing, speaking, and hearing. You must be able to distinguish between colors. It requires sitting while driving between job sites and may require frequent standing and walking at each job location.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Work is typically performed on construction sites that may or may not have heating or cooling systems in place. It will require overnight travel and a stay. To meet the demands of a management position, the ability and willingness to work long hours and have flexibility regarding work schedules (including occasional weekend hours) are required.
