We are seeking an experienced painter to oversee the preparation, painting, foaming, and finishing of HVAC systems and components, ensuring high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop painting systems and procedures for HVAC projects, selecting appropriate coatings for different materials and environments.
- Coach and mentor Painter 1s and Painter 2s, providing guidance, training, and support to develop their skills.
- Inspect HVAC components and systems to determine the best approach for painting, including surface preparation, coating selection, and application techniques.
- Manage and coordinate painting schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects and effective use of resources.
- Perform complex painting tasks, including intricate detailing, high-durability coatings, and protective finishes.
- Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring finished surfaces meet aesthetic, functional, and durability requirements.
- Ensure that all painting work complies with company quality standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
- Maintain and troubleshoot painting equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition and performing preventive maintenance as needed.
- Stay current with new painting technologies, materials, and industry best practices, implementing improvements as needed.
- Follow instructions and work under the supervision of more experienced painters.
- Follow lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for gained efficiency.
Essential Skills
- Understanding of paint systems, including setting up spray guns, mixing paint, and maintaining the sprayer.
- Experience working in a paint shop environment, wearing a respirator, and maintaining all equipment.
- At least 5 years of industrial spray painting experience.
- Experience in paint preparation, production, and spray gun operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in painting, with at least 2–3 years in a level 3 painter role.
- Extensive knowledge of painting techniques, coatings, and the ability to manage projects and mentor junior painters.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, durable finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental controls, and PPE requirements in industrial painting.

Work Environment
The work environment requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. You must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed and climb portable ladders. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
