Position Title: Registered Nurse – ICU (Local/Travel)
Location: Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
Contract Duration: 26 Weeks
Schedule:
- Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (07:00 PM – 07:30 AM)
- Every Other Weekend Required
- Weekly Hours: 36
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care skills, the ability to manage complex patient conditions, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products
- Manage ventilated patients and respiratory support systems
- Perform central line and PICC line care
- Implement and monitor IV insulin protocols
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in rapid response/code teams
- Accurately document patient care in EMR systems
- Float to other units within scope of practice as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Ability to pass EKG/telemetry competency exam
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
Licensure & Certifications
- Active New York State RN License (Required at submission)
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS (AHA) – Required
- NIHSS – Required
