What You'll Do

As an Assembler, you'll play a critical role in manufacturing high-quality products by:

  • Assembling components using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
  • Reading and following blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Inspecting your work to ensure products meet quality and customer standards.
  • Troubleshooting assembly issues and helping identify process improvements.
  • Recording production data, labor tracking, inventory information, and quality documentation.
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Assisting with training and knowledge-sharing among team members when needed.
  • Adapting to changing priorities and contributing wherever support is needed.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience reading mechanical or electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of inventory tracking and production documentation.
  • Experience supporting Lean, Continuous Improvement, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Previous training or mentoring experience.
  • Desire to learn new skills and grow within a manufacturing organization.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.25/hr.
