What You'll Do
As an Assembler, you'll play a critical role in manufacturing high-quality products by:
- Assembling components using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- Reading and following blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
- Inspecting your work to ensure products meet quality and customer standards.
- Troubleshooting assembly issues and helping identify process improvements.
- Recording production data, labor tracking, inventory information, and quality documentation.
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Assisting with training and knowledge-sharing among team members when needed.
- Adapting to changing priorities and contributing wherever support is needed.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- 2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reading mechanical or electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of inventory tracking and production documentation.
- Experience supporting Lean, Continuous Improvement, or process improvement initiatives.
- Previous training or mentoring experience.
- Desire to learn new skills and grow within a manufacturing organization.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.25/hr.
