Work Schedule:

\n

    \n
  • Primarily daylight hours with 8 and 12-hours shifts!
  • \n

  • Rotating Saturday overnight coverage.
  • \n

  • Occasional coverage for weekend daylight, weekday overnight, and holiday hours, as needed, to cover staff vacations.
  • \n

  • Infrequent on-call hours, if needed.
  • \n

Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Covers call and off-shifts on a rotational basis.
  • \n

  • Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures to assist in a patient’s medical diagnosis.
  • \n

  • Displays knowledge of equipment operations, anatomy, and scanning techniques resulting in optimized image data/documentation.
  • \n

  • Documents and considers patient history, laboratory data, and physical findings.
  • \n

  • Ensures all exams are properly coded and networked through appropriate systems, and ensures all charges are correct for exams performed.
  • \n

  • Assists with training staff, student sonographers, and physicians.
  • \n

  • May be responsible for High Level Disinfection of devices, supplies, and/or equipment.
  • \n

  • Demonstrates ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
  • \n

    \n
  • Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required, or RDMS registered.
  • \n

  • RDMS registered or registry eligible.
  • \n

  • Must have completed Physics portion of registry.
  • \n

  • 2 years of ultrasound experience preferred.
  • \n

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

\n

    \n
  • Must obtain RDMS in Pediatric Ultrasound within 24 months of hire date.
  • \n

  • CPR or BLS required within 30 days of hire.
  • \n

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI clearances with renewals
  • \n
