The assignment begins with a summer start, closely aligned with ESY programming. Four-week programs run from June 29th through July 23rd, while six-week options conclude August 6th, offering flexibility with your summer plans. Workdays are Monday to Thursday, granting you long weekends to enjoy or recharge.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in Massachusetts
- Experience in school settings preferred (OT, COTA—School)
- Familiarity with IEPs and providing therapeutic makeup or compensatory services
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students
- Organizational skills to efficiently manage caseloads and paperwork
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services for students per IEP requirements, focusing on compensatory/makeup sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support professionals
- Document interventions and progress notes in accordance with school guidelines
- Participate in ESY team meetings as needed
- Adjust treatment plans and adapt activities to fit the needs of students in a summer school environment
