Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide expert care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting. This 13-week contract role in Amherst, WI, offers a chance to work primarily nights with a supportive team focused on delivering quality patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive emergency nursing care on a 12-hour night shift
- Managing patient care in an 8-bed ER unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Utilizing Epic electronic health records for documentation
- Participating in holiday and occasional weekend rotations
- Flexing to float across all acute care facilities within the system as needed
- Following established protocols for certifications including ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current Wisconsin RN license required
- Active certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience with at least 2 years in Emergency Room settings
- BSN degree is strongly preferred but not mandatory
- Skilled communicator with proven ability to manage critical patient situations
- Experience using Epic charting platform within the past year
- Must have completed at least one previous travel nursing contract
- Candidates should live within 50 miles of the corporate center in Neenah, WI
Schedule & Contract Details:
- 12-hour night shifts primarily, 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks, start ASAP
- Orientation includes an 8-hour unbillable period; scheduling during orientation week may vary
- This position does not require on-call or callback duties
