Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Radiation Therapist to join a dedicated Radiation Oncology team on a contract basis in Glenwood Springs, CO. This role focuses on delivering precise ionizing radiation treatments to patients under the guidance of radiation oncologists, prioritizing patient safety and treatment accuracy. The ideal candidate must have strong simulation experience, which is essential for treatment planning and effective radiation delivery.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Successful completion of an accredited radiation therapy training program and R.T. (T) certification with current maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiation Oncology with demonstrated strong simulation expertise.
- Proficient in radiation safety practices, regulatory compliance, and oncology principles including radiobiology and treatment techniques.
- Skilled in interpreting and delivering radiation treatments according to detailed plans and protocols.
- Experience with techniques such as Breath Hold, SRS, SBRT, Superficial, and HDR.
- Familiarity with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging technology, electronic medical records, and preferably Mosaiq software.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred.
- Mandatory seasonal flu vaccination compliance (October 1st through April 1st).
Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments safely and effectively.
- Perform simulation procedures to develop accurate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with oncology team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Train and mentor other radiation therapists regarding simulation practices.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols and documentation requirements.
