Full time 40hrs a week

Starting Salary: 30K – 44K

Clock in time: 7:20am

Clock out time: 4:30pm

Preschool Teacher oversees their age group and all TA’s that are under their supervision. Duties of Preschool Teachers are as followed, but not limit to:

  • Preparing and checking their age section for the arrival of their preschoolers and parents
  • Greeting and welcoming staff, parents, infants, and toddlers
  • Prepare and teach 2-year-old curriculum
  • Plan daily activities to stimulate the mind and senses of his/her preschoolers.
  • Interact and monitor indoor and outdoor activities of children
  • Care for preschoolers; assisting in potty training, changing cloths, aiding children in autonomy, etc.
  • Disinfecting toys daily as well as wiping down chairs and tables
  • Checking and keeping track on supplies for preschoolers and (play and activity supplies, change of clothes, meds, etc.)
  • Preschool Teacher(s) is supervised by the Director, Owner(s), and Assistant Director reports to them for all updates of necessities for their class and/or the preschool
  • Have biweekly meetings with Director to update them on activities, issues, etc.

Goal of this Role: To enrich and stimulate Preschoolers mind with as much vocabulary rich curriculum as possible so to aide in verbal communication. Also to provide early recognition of letters, phonically sounds and numbers. Ultimately, children leaving your class can speak, recognize letters, recognize numbers, count from numbers 1-10, recognized shapes, colors, animals, objects and various other things that pertain to them.

Qualification

High School Diploma

Drivers License or State ID

Associate of Arts Degree from an Accredited College or University majoring in Early Childhood Development

6 semester or quarter equivalent units in Infant/Toddler (in case required to aid with infants and toddlers)

Possession of a Teacher or Master Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teachers Credential

Pediatric CPR/First Aid certificate/card (EMS accredited)

Certificate of completion of Preventive Health/lead poison course

California Food Handlers card
