Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time, on-site Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is based in Chesapeake, VA, serving an elementary school setting. The role covers a maternity leave assignment at Grassfield Elementary, working with young students across the elementary age range. The contract runs from approximately September 25, 2025, through December 18, 2025, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to elementary school-aged students.
- Implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the school's educational team.
- Monitor and document student progress to meet state and school requirements.
- Participate in meetings and maintain communication with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
Requirements:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Experience working as an SLP in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to work full-time on-site for the duration of the contract.
