Become a Lead Carpenter/ Supervisor in an established & growing company transforming properties throughout southeastern MA and RI. Projects primarily in the residential sector with some in the commercial sector.

The Lead Carpenter/ Supervisor will be the primary point of contact for all staff and trades and be the primary manager of the project(s). The Lead Carpenter/ Supervisor will also be a point of contact for the client and provide weekly project updates to both client and company ownership.

The Lead Carpenter/ Supervisor should enjoy working with others and should be confident in providing ideas and input during all phases of the project. They should have a proven track record of solving problems on projects for fellow staff and subcontractors.

The Lead Carpenter/ Supervisor needs to be forward thinking and works directly with the ownership team to ensure all phases of the project are performed in the most efficient manner possible.

The Lead Carpenter/ Supervisor is tasked with developing an understanding of the assigned project(s) scope by reviewing and comprehending plan and project documents. Their responsibility encompasses supervising and overseeing trade partners to ensure all work being performed aligns with the plans and other project specifications.

The Lead Carpenter/ Supervisor is responsible for always maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years experience as a lead carpenter.

Driver's license required along with reliable form of transportation.

Ability to lead projects of varying sizes from bathroom remodels to large scale additions or full house remodels.

Extensive understanding of building plans/ kitchen layouts, etc.

Ability to manage project along with working hands on performing carpentry & general labor tasks.

Ability to Communicate with Trades and staff and to problem solve in situations that arise.

Extensive knowledge & understanding of the carpenter trade, framing and building code.

Ability to perform the physical aspects that come along with being a carpenter.

Ability to visualize and be forward thinking on all aspects of project.

Skilled use of power tools including hammer, drills, power saws, etc.

Ability to use a computer and applicable software such as Excel, MS Projects, etc.

Strong communication skills and capable of sending text messages, emails and taking phone calls while on project.

Ability to perform all aspect of rough framing and finish work

Ability to install cabinets, doors, trim, moldings, extension jambs, & other wood workings in accordance with project plans.

Ability to frame and finish stairs, landings, railings and any other custom stairwell work.

Ability to interpret plans and provide layout for on site.

Understanding of a project budget and the need to complete a project within the time parameters established.

Detail oriented.
