Starting Salary $65,000.00 - $66,787.50 annually *Listed salary range is based on experience level and may vary depending on an individual's skills and qualifications.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

The Operational Program Director is a dynamic leadership role combining direct service, program oversight, and staff development.

As an OPD, you will:
✔ Provide leadership across multiple service sites
✔ Support individuals with IDD, mental health, medical, and/or autism-related needs
✔ Build strong staff teams and provide coaching, mentoring, and problem-solving
✔ Partner with families, case managers, clinicians, and care teams
✔ Ensure services meet the highest standards of person-centered practice
✔ Provide occasional direct support and personal care
✔ Oversee licensing compliance and quality outcomes
✔ Model the values of dignity, independence, and respect

Schedule

Typical business hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. As an OPD, you are on call from 8am Monday to 5pm Friday to support staff and coordinators within four to five programs. The position involves working within the programs onsite.

As an OPD, you'll be on call for about 15-30 sites from Friday at 5pm to Monday at 8am, roughly every 3-6 weeks. This schedule includes some holidays, which are shared equally among the on-call group.

Qualifications

What Makes You A Great Fit:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field is preferred. Candidates need to be a Designated Manager status per 245D licensing requirements in MN. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/245D.081
  2. Three years’ experience supervising staff in the human service field per requirements from 245D Designated Manager qualifications.
  3. Valid United States Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle background check per Dungarvin, Inc’s policy.
  4. Valid liability vehicle insurance with reliable transportation.
  5. Must be able to complete personal cares and be able to lift and transfer.
  6. Be able to transport persons served in the community.
  7. Must demonstrate good decision-making, time management and communication skills, and be responsible and flexible.
  8. Must be at least 18 years of age, some programs require at least 21 years of age per MN requirements for children foster care licensed programs.
