Job Summary:
We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to join our creative and fast-paced kitchen. In this role, you’ll lead the production of a variety of high-quality baked goods that reflect the joy and flavor our customers expect from Eat Cake 4 Breakfast. If you love working with butter, flour, and imagination—and waking up early to bring smiles to people's faces—we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide variety of scratch-made baked goods, including pastries, cakes, cookies, and seasonal specialties
- Collaborate on recipe development and new menu items
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all products
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
- Manage inventory, ordering, and minimize waste
- Assist with custom orders, holiday menus, and special events
- Stay current on pastry trends and bring fresh, creative ideas to the team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a pastry chef, baker, or relevant kitchen role
- Degree or certification in baking/pastry arts preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of classic pastry techniques and baking science
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and teamwork
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and peak holiday periods
- A love for baking and a genuine enthusiasm for our bakery’s brand and mission
