Cosentino's Price Choppers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This full-time, hourly position requires a willingness to travel between our Kansas and Missouri locations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in medication dispensation, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting pharmacists in various pharmacy operations. This role demands a strong understanding of pharmacy systems, pharmaceuticals, and packaging and labeling procedures, alongside excellent communication and clerical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing, including preparing medications and managing prescriptions.
  • Operate the cash register, processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory, including ordering, stocking, and managing pharmaceuticals.
  • Perform packaging and labeling of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilize pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, manage patient profiles, and maintain records.
  • Assist with asset protection by following established procedures and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacists, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform clerical works such as filing prescriptions and managing patient records.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician certification is required.
  • Prior experience with McKesson EnterpriseRx.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy systems.
  • General knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medication dispensation processes.
  • Proficiency in English language, both written and verbal.
  • Basic mathematics skills for accurate calculations.
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medication dispensing software.
  • Previous experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
  • Experience with medical prescriptions.
