Job DescriptionWe are hiring several Grinder Operator positions for a well-known Wire and Spring facility located in McKees Rocks. These contract to hire positions have a starting pay range of $17 - $21 / hr BOE. 1st shift and weekly pay. STRONG advancement!
In these detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Grinder Operator positions, you will operate Nimsco, Schenker and/or Besly Grinder Machines to ensure that springs are precisely flattened and straightened to precise production standards.
Key Grinder Operator Responsibilities:
- Load springs into the grinding machine accurately and efficiently.
- Adjust the grinding machine to the correct height settings according to specific product requirements.
- Operate the grinding machine to grind down springs using a grindstone, ensuring they are flattened and any imperfections are removed.
- Monitor the grinding process to maintain consistent quality and identify any potential issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the grinding machine to ensure optimal performance.
Grinder Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires precise measurement skills using dial calipers and other tools.
- Previous experience operating grinding machines or similar machinery is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
