Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to support students in a K-12 educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). The role involves working under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist to assist in providing speech and language services to students across diverse grade levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping children communicate effectively and the skills to implement therapy plans in a school environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the administration of speech and language interventions for students
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborating with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other school staff to support student communication goals
- Participating in team meetings and contributing observations to enhance therapy outcomes
- Maintaining confidentiality and complying with school policies and procedures
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with children in school or clinical settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work under the direction of a speech-language pathologist
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and regulations related to student support
