Job Title: Nurse Supervisor – Maternal Child Health
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time (Permanent)
Schedule:
- Day Shift | Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 37.5 hours per week
Compensation: $150,000 annually
Position Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to lead clinical and administrative operations within the Maternal Child Health (MCH) department. This role is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting clinical excellence through leadership and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff within the Maternal Child Health department
- Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities to ensure quality and safety
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff, providing guidance and decision-making support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Mentor and train nursing staff, fostering professional development
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting as required
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Nursing with 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or teaching role
OR - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 6 years of nursing experience, including 4 years in a supervisory or teaching role
- Master’s degree in Nursing with 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or teaching role
- Licensure:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong background in Maternal Child Health (MCH) nursing
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
